2015 Possible Kickboxing Muay Thai Group

Cameron Penner would like to get a homeschool kickboxing/muay thai group going this September.

Location: Winnipeg Women’s Kickboxing and Muay Thai club, 1777 Portage Ave. (Portage and Berry).

The instructor, Trisha Sammons, is a two time Canadian Muay Thai champion. Trisha is a mother of four and the club has a very family friendly atmosphere (my daughter who doesn’t want to take lessons sets up her toys in a corner and plays with the other younger children).

Lessons would be twice a week and the cost would be $200 for a 3 month block.

Trisha is flexible on which two days they would occur. We can pick either Mon., Wed., or Fri., from 10 – 11, or Tues., Thurs., from 9:30 – 10:30.

We would need at least five children signed up to make it work. You are welcome to try out a free class on Tuesday between 4 and 5, or on Sunday between 10 and 11.

I’d recommend kids be at least 5 years old. If you have any specific questions feel free to call Trisha at 204-930-6780.

Goldeye's Players visit Winnipeg Libraries

The Winnipeg Public Libraries invites all homeschoolers to check out what is happening at the library this summer.
Here is the July/August issue of our newsletter: http://wpl.winnipeg.ca/library/pdfs/atthelibrary16.4.pdf

Specifically, they’d like to see some more registration for the Goldeyes baseball player readings on August 12: http://wpl.winnipeg.ca/library/pdfs/posters/playerreadings.pdf Louis Riel Library is almost full but the other 6 branches still have lots of space; particularly West End, St. James and Sir William Stephenson.
