Family Park Days

September 20, October 4, October 18
1:30 pm onwards (until the fun runs out!)
Duck Pond Shelter, Assiniboine Park

MASH would like to invite everyone who is interested to bi-weekly Park Days.  Children can play in the park while the weather is warmer, and, as we continue on into winter, sled and skate when it’s cold and snowy.  There are bathrooms and a water fountain at the pavilion, picnic tables inside, and it is heated in the winter.  Bring some board games and snacks and come hang out with other homeschoolers.  No need to sign up, just come when you can.  We are going to be meeting every second week – so mark the first three – Sept 20th, Oct 4th and Oct 18th in your calendars!
The children who are pretty much definitely going to be there are between the ages of 10 and 16, but all ages are welcome.  Parents need to stay and not drop off children unless another adult is in charge of the children and asked ahead of time.  Parents can visit with each other while children play, but would need to move around the park/pond etc. to supervise the children and/or play with them if we wish.

Monthly Parent Night

Join us for an informal evening of conversation about homeschooling.
Thursday, September 28, 7-9 pm
29 Magellan Bay (Jennifer’s house)

All parents who are currently homeschooling or thinking of homeschooling are welcome to attend.  Babes in arms only – this is an event for parents only, not parents and children.  Snacks and drinks provided but you are welcome to bring something if you wish.  Parents’ nights give parents a chance to unwind, ask for support, provide support, make connections, ask questions, vent – whatever you like.  The meeting’s flavour depends on who is attending!
Allergy alert:  two dogs present in house.
